Leadership

Karl grew up in Neosho, Wisconsin.  He became a believer in Christ when he was a young child.  During his teen years, God put a desire in his heart for reaching the unreached with the Gospel. While in training with New Tribes Mission (now called Ethnos 360), he met Maribeth and they got married in 1997.  Together they served as church planters in a remote village in Papua New Guinea for 15 years.  After returning to the States, Karl was hired by Harvest Church in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, to lead a church plant in Columbus, which started in September, 2020.  

Karl is a warm, friendly, fun-loving guy who is down to earth and loves people.  His favorite activities involve drinking coffee, baking, and listening to Christian music - especially Steven Curtis Chapman.

Maribeth grew up in Cadillac, Michigan. She, too, became a believer at a young age and had a desire to be a missionary overseas.  She served alongside Karl in Papua New Guinea and helped raise their three children in the village.  After returning to the States, Maribeth worked as the office manager at Harvest Church in Beaver Dam for four years and now manages the office for Harvest Church Columbus.  

Maribeth is an organized, detail-oriented person who loves ministering alongside Karl.  Her favorite activities include puzzles, maintaining her flower garden, and staying in touch with her adult children: Laura, Matthew, and Rachel.
